Alice Gainer
Alice Gainer is an American anchor and reporter for WLNY-TV located in New York. She was born on July 3, 1982. Before joining WCBS Gainer was employed at WNYW Fox 5, New York and for eight years before that, worked as an Anchor/Reporter at News 12 New Jersey. Gainer has appeared as a reporter on News 12 Westchester and CNN. Additionally, she is a regular guest as a regular guest on Fox Business Happy Hour and Fox News Channel. Gainer was a 2004 graduate of Fordham University with a degree that specialized in Communications: TV as well as radio, and a minor in Business Administration. While at Fordham she was an anchor on WFUV The university's NPR affiliated radio station as well as winning an award called the Gracie Award in the category "Individual Award for Outstanding anchor (Radio)". Also, she was an anchor on the campus TV station. Gainer's career began with radio following her graduation with WBGO, NPR's WBGO, MetroNetworks WOR and WABC. Also, she was employed in Air America Satellite Radio and MetroNetworks WOR. Gainer has won the award for eight NY Emmy Awards, including for "Breaking/Spot News", Crime News" and Entertainment News. Her nominations have been over a dozen times in the areas of "LIVEreporter", "Spot News", "Entertainment News", "Crime News" and "Health/Science". In the first two years reporting for TV when she turned 25, she had a total of 25.
